Lemony little fish

1 kg mullet (harders), baby hake or springers

(skipjacks), cleaned and gutted

3 garlic cloves, crushed juice and zest of 1 lemon

15 ml (1 T) each finely chopped fresh parsley

and coriander large pinch each curry powder, ground cumin

and turmeric salt and freshly ground pepper lemon slices to serve 1 Put the fish in a large shallow glass dish.

2 Mix the rest of the ingredient­s except the lemon slices. Pour over the fish and marinate for 1 hour.

3 Braai over moderate coals for 15-20 minutes or until the fish is just done.

4 Serve with lemon slices.
