Sprin­kle this dis­tinc­tive, spicy mix­ture over vegetables such as pump­kin, sweet potato and cab­bage be­fore braai­ing.

MAKES ABOUT 25 ml

5 ml (1 t) each ground cumin, ground co­rian­der, ground nut­meg and pa­prika

2 ml (½ t) each ground all­spice and ground gin­ger

1 ml (¼ t) each cayenne pep­per and ground cin­na­mon

Mix all the in­gre­di­ents and store in an air­tight con­tainer.
