Coleslaw hot dogs

Coleslaw and may­on­naise are de­li­cious with boere­wors.

125 ml (½ c) good-qual­ity may­on­naise 15 ml (1 T) pre­pared mus­tard

5 ml (1 t) Di­jon mus­tard

30 ml (2 T) honey


500 ml (2 c) shred­ded cab­bage

125 ml (½ c) finely grated car­rots

2-3 finely chopped spring onions hand­ful sul­tanas gen­er­ous hand­ful pecan nuts for

sprin­kling on top


4 rye bread rolls, halved

500 g boere­wors

1 Salad dress­ing Mix the in­gre­di­ents.

2 Salad Mix the in­gre­di­ents, ex­cept the nuts, and add half the dress­ing. Toss well. 3 Hot dogs Toast the rolls if de­sired. Braai the sausage over the coals un­til done.

4 Place a piece of sausage in each roll and top with a lit­tle coleslaw. Spoon over the re­main­ing dress­ing and scat­ter the nuts on top.
