Rump kebabs

MAKES 8 KEBABS Preparatio­n 10 min Marinating 1-2 hours Cooking 8-10 min

60 ml (¼ c) olive oil 5-6 garlic cloves,

crushed sea salt and freshly

ground pepper 250 ml (1 c)

Guinness beer 500 g rump steak, cut into bite-size cubes a few bay or lemon

twigs

1 Mix the oil, garlic, salt, pepper and beer, pour over the meat and marinate for 1-2 hours.

2 Clean the bay or lemon twigs, leaving a few leaves at the top. Thread a few cubes of meat onto each twig.

3 Braai over hot coals for 8-10 minutes, turning continuous­ly until cooked to your liking.
