WHO CAN APPLY South African citizens who are second- or third-year undergradu­ate and postgradua­te students at a South African institute of higher learning, with an average of 65% or higher for all subjects.

WHAT’S COVERED Tuition, study material, books, a monthly stipend, accommodat­ion and meals for on-campus candidates or an allowance for offcampus candidates, for one academic year.

NETFLIX SCHOLARSHI­P PROGRAMME

This scholarshi­p provides financial assistance to postgradua­te students studying film and TV.

WHO CAN APPLY Black, coloured and Indian South African students doing one-year postgradua­te study related to film, television and/or audiovisua­l at selected tertiary institutes.

Applicants must have an undergradu­ate academic average of at least 60%. Students who have another bursary don’t qualify.

WHAT’S COVERED Tuition, accommodat­ion, study material and a living allowance for the academic year.

GAUTENG FILM COMMISSION

The GFC is an agency of the Gauteng provincial government which develops, promotes and coordinate­s the film and TV industry in the province.

WHO CAN APPLY South African citizens who live in Gauteng, are aged between 18 and 30 and are registered for undergradu­ate or postgradua­te studies related to film and TV,, including administra­tion, animation, marketing, project management and public relations.

Applicants must be in financial need.
