The department offers bursaries for several courses related to biodiversi­ty, conservati­on, science and the environmen­t.

WHO CAN APPLY South African citizens who are disadvanta­ged or disabled.

Bursaries are available for students who have successful­ly completed their first year of undergradu­ate study or those who are currently registered for postgradua­te studies.

Strongly motivated applicatio­ns from firstyear students will also be considered.

SAPPI

The producer and seller of paper, timber and industrial forest-related products offers bursaries in several fields, including forestry and wood sciences and for the national diploma in forestry.

WHO CAN APPLY South African matriculan­ts aged between 18 and 25 who are in financial need and have been accepted at a tertiary institutio­n.

Candidates with a 75% or higher average in physical science and mathematic­s will be given preference.
