Pork steaks with mustard
Pork neck steaks are deliciously tender and go so well with mustard.
180 ml (¾ c) orange juice 30 ml (2 T) apricot jam 30 ml (2 T) wholegrain mustard 15 ml (1 T) soy sauce 30 ml (2 T) oil pinch each of ground cumin, ginger and coriander handful of chopped fresh coriander
Preparation time: 15 minutes Marinating time: 30 minutes Cooking time: 15-20 minutes 6 pork neck steaks, cut 3 cm thick salt rye bread sandwiches (recipe in tip below) to serve
1 Marinade Mix the ingredients. 2 Pork Put the meat in a bowl, pour the marinade over and set aside for 30 minutes. 3 Remove the meat from the marinade. Season with salt and braai over hot coals until sealed on all sides. Raise the grill and braai the meat until done but not dry, brushing often with the marinade. 4 Serve the pork with the sandwiches.
