Bic For Her pens, “a range of pens with floral patterns on them”, were widely mocked – along with its blundering 2015 ad campaign that exhorted women on National Women’s Day to “look like a girl, act like a lady, think like a man, work like a boss”. One reviewer on Amazon wrote, “It was amazing! The pen just stayed in place between my fingers, just like it always had for the boys in my class at school. Well, in no time I’d filled a whole notepad and had to go and get another one!”
