Absolutely Bonang!
It was never going to be anything other than fabulous, darling, just fabulous! There are no half measures for BONANG MATHEBA, and her book launch at Sandton City’s prestigious Diamond Walk was no different. The Top Billing presenter and reality TV star added the title of author to her impressive list of achievements with her first book, Bonang: From A to B. “Turning 30 in June gave me the power to let go, so 30 came with great emancipation for me,” she said at the launch. The book details Bonang’s success story and is said to be the first of a three-part series. “I always wanted to build because I wanted to be better and inspire others, to have a generational impact,” she says. We asked some of the celebs at the event to share an interesting snippet from their life story that they’d include in their memoirs one day. GERT-JOHAN COETZEE (designer) “My life is just like that of [Playboy founder] Hugh Hefner: I’m surrounded by hot girls and go to fabulous parties all the time! If Hugh Hefner were gay he’d be me!’ ZURAIDA JARDINE (TV presenter) “I used to work at OK Bazaars as a packer and also for a man who sold hair products. I was paid R2 a Saturday. My first job as a reporter was interviewing gang leader Rashaad Staggie in hospital after an incident. I nearly died, it was so intimidating.” SHASHI NAIDOO (model) “There’s really no secret to success – it’s just plain hard work.”
