DOTING UNCLE HARRY

-

Harry was noticeably absent at Charlotte’s christening in 2015 – the prince was in Namibia at the time, where he spent three months working as a game ranger. But on Louis’ special day, the Duke of Sussex was front and centre with his new wife. Harry went all-out to spoil his baby nephew, forking out £8 000 (about R144 000) on a first-edition copy of Winnie-the-Pooh by British author AA Milne. Harry reportedly plans to start an exclusive library for Louis in a touching tribute to his mom, Diana.

“One of Harry’s happiest childhood memories was being read a bedtime story by his mother,” a friend reportedly told The Sun newspaper.

“She loved all the old classics and Harry had the brilliant idea of starting a little library of first editions for Louis, Charlotte and George to enjoy as they get older.

“Robinson Crusoe was William’s favourite book, but Harry loved all things AA Milne.”

UP NEXT . . .

She’s been a full-time royal for only a handful of months but Meghan is already starting to look like a born-and-bred blueblood. The former actress looked effortlessly elegant as she arrived at the inner-circle affair holding her new husband’s hand.

While she’s often favoured pretty pastel ensembles in her first few months as the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan donned a simple and chic waist-cinched boat-neck frock in olive green that looked lovely with her skin tone.

She accessorised the Ralph Lauren dress with an olive hat by Stephen Jones and elegant gloves.

Harry was equally at ease in a navy suit and sky-blue tie that matched his big brother’s. And there was none of the constant checking up on his wife like at the Trooping the Colour parade last month now that she’s found her feet.

Of course, with the christening excitement having come and gone, the question on everyone’s lips is when we’ll hear the pitter-patter of little feet for Harry and Meghan.

Kids are definitely on the cards for the lovebirds and baby Sussex might not be far off.

“Having children is definitely a priority,” a source close to Meghan told Us Weekly magazine. “She and Harry want to start a family right away – and she’ll start trying as soon as she can.”
