Louis’ sister, Princess Charlotte, was baptised in a far more relaxed ceremony than big brother George’s more formal service. Her countryside christening took place on 5 July 2015 at the Church of St Mary Magdalene in Norfolk – a stone’s throw from the queen’s Sandringham House and the same place where Charlotte’s grandmother, Princess Diana, was baptised in 1961.

The Cambridges allowed well-wishers onto the grounds to share in their then nine-week-old daughter’s big day – something else the People’s Princess would certainly have approved of.
