MORE than three years after announcing her split from fellow actor BEN AFFLECK, JENNIFER GARNER has finally moved on. According to an insider, the 46-year-old Golden Globe winner has been dating American businessman JOHN MILLER (40) for a few months.
“Jen’s marriage to Ben has been over for a very long time and, while her priority has always been her kids, she knew she needed to rebuild her life without Ben. “It wasn’t easy at first and she even had to push herself to date.” According to the source John, the chairman and CEO of a retail development company called Cali Group, is warm, fun and incredibly smart – and very much outside of Hollywood, which is just what Jen wanted. “He’s a real success in the business world and has no interest in being in the entertainment industry.” Reports say the couple immediately hit it off after meeting through mutual friends and started going for romantic dinners far out of town or at his home. “Jennifer and John have friends in common and know some of the same people through their kids,” a source tells US magazine. But friends aren’t the only thing the couple have in common – they’re also both in the process of finalising lengthy divorces. John first filed for divorce from his wife – violinist Caroline Campbell, with whom he shares two children – back in 2011 and the case is still pending at a Los Angeles County court. Jennifer is also in the final stages of wrapping up her drawn-out divorce. Ben (46) and Jen, who share kids VIOLET (12), SERAPHINA (9) and SAMUEL (6), announced their separation in 2015, filed divorce papers in 2017 and reached a divorce settlement in August. Earlier this month a Los Angeles court approved a request Jennifer had filed to have a retired judge be appointed as a temporary judge to oversee the case, which was expected to accelerate the process. “Jen seems excited about the future and is in a great place both personally and professionally,” a friend says. “She’ll always care about Ben and help him be the best dad, but she’s ready to move on.”
