MINNIE first appears in Plane Crazy in 1928 when Mickey invites her for a ride in his plane. When he tries to kiss her she parachutes to the ground, setting the scene for decades of wooing.

PLUTO evolved from an unnamed dog, in 1930’s The Chain Gang, to Pluto the Pup in The Moose Hunt a year later. He’s the only one of the original Disney characters without human traits.

Mickey’s clumsy and dim-witted bestie, GOOFY, made his debut in Mickey’s Revue in 1932 – originally as Dippy Dawg. He was given a makeover later that year in The Whoopee Party.

DONALD DUCK has been around since 1934 when he featured in Wise Little Hen. Donald and Mickey are the original frenemies.

DAISY DUCK was created in 1940 to be Donald’s love interest in Mr Duck Steps Out. Unlike her sassy bestie, Minnie, Daisy has always been devoted to her beau.
