TOO YOUNG TO BE ON A BIKE

I’ve just read the tragic article about the death of Marietjie Vosloo’s son (YOU, 29 November). I can’t comprehend how anybody could buy an off-road motorbike for a 13-year-old and then let him get on it without any form of training or a responsible adult alongside him.

A 13-year-old isn’t capable of handling such a bike. Motorbikes in any form, shape or size are death traps and one needs to be experienced and safety-conscious before getting on one.
