YOU (South Africa) - - SAY -

Recently numerous letters of complaint have been published about the scripts of certain TV programmes, in particular 7de Laan. Are these people insane? The make-believe world of TV seems to have become reality in their brains.

Many people are unable to discern fact from fiction. Before TV, books were read, people gathered and communicated, dialogue was a part of daily life, and extended families and friends went on picnics.

We’re in trouble, as the putrid box controls the foolish and feeble-minded. PETER BACHTIS, EMAIL
