THE THINGS KIDS SAY
My seven-year-old grandson and I were playing I Spy with a bit of difficulty as he’s still learning his phonics. He had me stumped several times with F for phone and photo, and N for knee, but had me give up in desperation with the letter B.
He couldn’t understand why I burst out laughing when he triumphantly said “Ouma, it’s B for bustbin!” I’d forgotten that he called a dustbin a bustbin and he was most indignant at my laughter. SILLY OUMA!, EMAIL
