THE RELUCTANT HUNK
LOUIS SPENCER, VISCOUNT ALTHORP
When Prince Harry wed Meghan Markle at Windsor Castle in May last year, the hearts of wannabe Windsors broke all over the world – until they caught sight of Harry’s hunky cousin.
Louis, the 24-year-old son of late Princess Diana’s brother, Earl Charles Spencer (54), cut a dashing figure as he escorted his mother, former model Victoria Aitken (53), and two of his sisters, Lady Eliza (26) and Lady Kitty (28).
The blond, bearded blueblood sent social media into a meltdown of marriage proposals as he featured in the live feed outside St George’s Chapel.
His title is Viscount Althorp, but he’ll become the 10th Earl Spencer and inherit the family’s ancestral home, Althorp, when Charles dies.
Louis – who unlike his sisters is rarely pictured out and about and shuns social media – grew up in South Africa. After Charles and Victoria split, she moved her family to Cape Town and the Spencer brood all went to prestigious private boarding schools in the Mother City. At the time the decision not to send Louis to Eton – where his ancestors went for almost 250 years – was a bit of a scandal.
Louis went on to study in Scotland, but his mom still lives in Cape Town. So keep an eye out for those tousled golden locks on the beach.
