A TATTOO THAT TELLS YOU WHAT TO DO
Scientists at the University of Colorado in the USA have developed an invisible tattoo that can warn you when you’re in danger of sun damage.
The tattoo ink is sensitive to UV light and appears only when the skin is overexposed to radiation from the sun (ABOVE LEFT). As soon as sunscreen is applied and the skin is safe from radiation, the tattoo vanishes (ABOVE RIGHT).
The team is in the process of getting the ink approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
