WHERE: LAHAINA, HAWAII, USA This tropical beach house, designed by US architect Kendrick Bangs Kellogg and completed in 1982, offers panoramic views of Hawaii’s Maui island and its picture-perfect sunsets.

Dubbed the Tahitian Pavilion, the winner in the Waterfront Homes category is now on the market for the first time in more than two decades.

The house forms part of Papaua Place, a gated community of 10 homes, and features a lava-rock fireplace, an open-air hot tub in the master bedroom and hexagonal roof designs. Residents can unwind in its oceanfront heated pool. Ski jets are available for the more adventurous and there’s a spectacular private waterfall.
