More than just friends?
MONICA Geller and Chandler Bing walked off into the sunset at the end of the 10th and final season of Friends, happily married and parents to twins.
Their love story was one of the major plot points of the sitcom, with the best pals’ romance having kicked off in season four after a drunken night in London.
But if recent reports are to be believed, there’s a reason the chemistry between real-life friends COURTENEY COX and MATTHEW PERRY felt so real. Apparently he’s had a decades-long infatuation with his on-screen wife.
It’s been coming ever since the pair first appeared in the ’90s smash hit show, an insider
claims, adding they’d always hoped the pair would get together in real life.
The source says even though they never dated “Matthew’s always been in love with her”.
“He’s never fully been able to get over her.”
Unrequited love or not, it seems Matthew (50) and Courteney (55) are still firm friends. The pair enjoyed lunch together earlier this month, with the Cougar Town actress sharing a cute selfie of them together with the caption: “Could I be any happier? #realfriends.”
The actress was married to actor David Arquette (now 48) at the height of her fame from 1999 to 2013, and is now dating Irish rocker Johnny McDaid (43).
Matthew, who’s also unmarried, has in the past dated actresses Yasmine Bleeth, Julia Roberts and Lizzy Caplan.
