We all have to wear them so we might as well do it in style. Check out these fab masks
WHAT WORKS BEST FOR KIDS? Masks with elastic bands work better for kids as they’re more secure on their face and the bands won’t slip off or loosen easily. This will prevent kids from touching or fidgeting with the mask. Try to find the right size for your child and make sure the mask has a secure fit. You can also opt for a colourful design. It will make wearing a mask less intimidating for young kids.
TIP Give kids time to practise wearing their masks at home before they leave the house. Teach them how to put the mask on and take it off and the importance of washing your hands before and after you use your mask. Explain why they must wear a mask. Be honest, but focus on the good that masks can do rather than the bad things the coronavirus can do.
Masks in various patterns, colours and styles will be a hit with your children.

SKIN PREP Your skin sheds cells every day which, if not removed, can leave your skin feeling a little rough.
Exfoliating regularly is the best way to remove dead cells so your skin can absorb maximum moisture from your products. If you don’t exfoliate, products tend to just sit on the surface of the skin and don’t serve much purpose.
We all have different skin types, which means the products and methods of exfoliation differ slightly for each person.
People with dry skin require gentle exfoliation for both face and body – anything too harsh will lead to inflammation and skin damage. Those of us with combination and oily skin can use similar products – the most important thing to do is deeply exfoliate the pores and balance oiliness through water-based hydration.
Choose products that contain salicylic acid for a deep cleanse. Facial and body brushes can be used to exfoliate the skin but be gentle and don’t use an exfoliating product with a brush as this will be too harsh for your skin. 1 BodyCare From Africa Savannah Shea Exfoliating Salt Scrub R84,95 for 550g 2 Neutrogena Hydro Boost Exfoliator Smoothing Gel R124,99 for 150ml 3 Nivea Daily Essentials Skin Refining Scrub R62,99 for 75ml 4 Safeway 4-in-1 Face Body Brush R179
Dry skin lacks oils that are normally found in the skin, which is why thicker, oilier products are more suitable for it.
Look out for products containing ceramides – lipid molecules that naturally occur in the skin and are a key component of the skin barrier or the protective outer layer of the skin, Nikolic says.
“Ceramides maintain and regulate the health of this vital protective outer mantle and help to keep the skin hydrated and inhibit moisture loss,” he says.
