HE’S just a few days old, but we reckon little ROME looks a lot like his dad!
Musician BRIAN CHAPLIN and his partner, model SIMONE DE KOCK, welcomed their baby boy on 26 May and are thrilled to be embarking on their new journey as parents.
“It was absolutely incredible seeing Rome for the first time and to share that moment with Brian,” Simone tells us. “We were both in absolute shock and tears when we finally met our gorgeous little boy.”
Brian, who’s half of award-winning duo Locnville, says he and Simone decided to name their son Rome “because we’re positive that’s where he was conceived!”
The couple, who’ve been together for twoand-a-half years, enjoyed a European holiday in August last year and Brian says their little bundle of joy was “the gift that came back with us”.
While they were nervous about becoming parents at first, the muso says they feel “nothing but joy and pure excitement” now.
Simone posted a sweet message to Brian on his birthday last month, two weeks before Rome was born, saying, “I’m beyond excited to be bringing a little mini YOU into this world – oh, I hope he’s all of you, because you are everything to ME! I love you more each day – my heart is your home.”
