I DO IT ALL MYSELF!

I had to smile at the email by Marguerite regarding her missing her home helpers (YOU Say, 14 May). I’ll be 79 this year and

I’ve been looking after my house, garden and pool for a long time. I’ve been a fulltime carer for my cancer-suffering husband for the past five years without a break. All admin work is done by yours truly. My husband used to be a wonderful handyman but I now have to do those little repair jobs myself.

But that doesn’t mean that I don’t find time for all the YOU puzzles (codebreakers are my favourite), or reading a book.

Before the lockdown I liked going to the gym three mornings a week as well. JUTTA D, EMAIL
