Check your retirement fund benefit statement to make sure your contributions are paid into the fund. You should get such a statement at least once a year.

Retirement funds also have website and call centres where you can confirm the information at any time. Your employer is legally liable for any contributions not paid to the fund and must pay it back with interest.
