The number of days two New Zealand hikers were missing after getting lost in foggy conditions. Jessica O’Connor and Dion Reynolds had gone hiking in the Kahurangi National Park on the South Island and planned to be away for five days. After they lost their way, they decided to stay in one spot. They were eventually rescued when the crew of a military search helicopter spotted the smoke of their fire.

She earned a lot more than Serena Williams, with R24,5m ($1,4m), who was top of the Forbes list for the previous four years running. Naomi made her money from winning tournament­s but also thanks to big sponsorshi­ps, with brands such as Nike paying her to wear their gear during matches.

That’s how far a 15-year-old Indian girl rode her bike to take her dad home. Jyoti Kumari pedalled this distance with her dad on the back of her bicycle. Her dad is a migrant worker and was left unemployed by the country’s coronaviru­s lockdown. When the lockdown was announced, many Indian migrant workers returned to their hometowns to be with their families. Her dad was injured and struggled to walk, so Jyoti made a plan.

The estimated age in years of a shipwreck archaeolog­ists have discovered underwater off the coast of Mexico. They suspect the ship hit a coral reef. Much of the wood has rotted away but the iron canon and anchors are intact. It’s the 70th shipwreck found in this area.
