Lea and the not so gleeful cast

-

BEHIND the scenes Glee seems to have been any thing but, well, gleeful. While the TV show’s characters were dancing and singing, recent allegations suggest that some of the cast were anything but chummy. It’s just the latest dark tale about the Golden Globe-winning show, leading many fans to believe it was cursed. Well, said curse has made its way to centre stage yet again after reports that the show’s leading lady, LEA MICHELE, made life a living hell on set. The 33-year-old played Rachel Berry, the bubbly girl next door with the powerhouse voice, which propelled her to stardom when the show aired in 2009. But recently Lea’s squeaky clean image has come tumbling down. After The Mayor actress tweeted her support for the Black Lives Matter movement, cast member SAMANTHA WARE (28) – who played Jane Hayward in the final season in 2015 – blasted the two-time Golden Globe nominee on Twitter, claiming the star “made her question a career in Hollywood”. Samantha was quickly backed up by co-stars HEATHER MORRIS (33), who played Brittany Pierce, and AMBER RILEY (34), who played Mercedes Jones, as well as 30 Rock actor KEITH POWELL (41) – who weighed in with not-so-cryptic responses. Meal kit company HelloFresh quickly dropped Lea as a brand ambassador, issuing a statement that read: “HelloFresh doesn’t condone racism nor discrimination of any kind. We take this seriously and have ended our partnership with Lea Michele effective immediately.”
