A TIME OF REBIRTH

Reflecting on the Easter that we just celebrated, this has been a difficult year when many of us lost people we loved, millions lost their jobs and countless thousands lost their businesses.

It was a humbling year, as material things lost their value, and many asked: what’s it all about?

Yet Covid has had some positivity: taking away our reliance on worldly things, encouraging kindness and caring, and getting us to look upon people who are struggling with greater compassion.

Easter is a time of rebirth. Whatever religion you espouse, it’s a time to allow your own humanity to spring forth, and make this planet a better place. PETER BACHTIS, BENONI
