TIPS FOR BUYING PRINTS

-

Dewet De Villiers of online décor shop Knus shares some advice.

SLook for a piece that will add character and soul to your home – usually a work that immediately grabs your attention when you see it for the first time.

SMake sure your prints are printed on quality paper. If you have a print that shows texture, consider textured paper. If it is super-modern, go for a gloss finish.

SHave your art professionally framed for an expensive look or buy professional frames. Ask the framer to make the backing easy to change so that you can effortlessly update with new prints.

SLayer your art by creating a gallery wall with different sizes and colours. If you prefer clean lines, opt for monotone colours.

SSupport South African artists and ask which prints are local.
