THE BURNING GIRLS

- – ANDRÉ J BRINK

By CJ TUDOR Penguin Reverend Jack Brooks is not your average vicar. She’s a single mom with a 14-year-old daughter, Flo, and isn't afraid to speak her mind.

After being wrongfully blamed for a death at her previous parish, she is “exiled” to Chapel Croft. This is the village where 500 years ago, eight Protestant martyrs were burnt at the stake. And 30 years ago, two teenage girls disappeared without a trace. To top it all, the previous vicar killed himself.

When both Flo and Jack see strange sightings in the old chapel – one a vision of a burning girl – it becomes apparent there are ghosts here that haven't been laid to rest.

Thrown into the mix is an evil man who's just been released from prison, coming to even the score with Flo and her mother.

Tudor weaves horror, mystery, murder and a good dose of the supernatural to create a truly spooky and haunting tale.
