The number of mummified ancient Egyptian royals that were recently moved during the Pharaohs’ Golden Parade in Cairo, Egypt. Among them was King Ramses II, one of the most famous pharaohs. The mummies were moved from the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square to the new National Museum of Egyptian Civilizati­on in the city.

South Africa recently signed a deal to receive 20 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine to help vaccinate more people against the coronaviru­s. With this, the government will have enough of the jabs to vaccinate around 41 million out of a total population of 60 million people.


The year when South Korea and North Korea want to host the Olympic Games together. The relationsh­ip between the two countries has been hostile, but it’s hoped the decision to bid jointly for the 2032 Games, which “aims to promote world peace through sports”, will help unite South and North Korea.

The number of jobs lost in South Africa between December 2019 and December 2020, according to Stats SA. Many companies had to either shut down completely or they had to retrench employees during the coronaviru­s pandemic and lockdown last year.
