‘I’M PANSEXUAL’,
JOJO FINALLY DECLARES
When JOJO SIWA first came out in January she wasn’t ready to label her sexuality.
Now, appearing on the cover of People magazine, the 17-year-old YouTube sensation describes herself as “technically” pansexual.
Pansexuality is defined as a “sexual, romantic or emotional attraction towards people regardless of their sex or gender identity”.
JoJo also revealed that she and girlfriend KYLIE PREW (18) started out as friends after meeting on a cruise ship in 2019. Things turned romantic a year later.
“I told her my spiel that I tell everyone when they ask me my life story,” JoJo recalls of their initial meeting.
“She goes, ‘I could’ve googled that. You just told me about your career. I want to know about you’. I was like, ‘No one’s ever asked me that before’.”
JoJo says she’s happier now than ever.
Not only did the dancer, singer and actress’ 12,2 million YouTube subscribers shower her with praise, but celebs such as Ellen DeGeneres, Lil Nas X and actor Sir Ian McKellen commended her for coming out.
Yet despite all the support, the Dance Moms star has fielded the inevitable raft of negative comments from haters.
“A lot of them were, ‘I’m never buying your merch again’. My daughter’s never watching you again’. I couldn’t sleep for three days.”
When it comes to her love life, JoJo is grateful Kylie doesn’t worry about what trolls say.
“She never cares what the internet said about us,” she told People.
