BARRELS OF TOXIC WASTE POLLUTE THE OCEAN
Marine scientists reportedly found more than 20 000 barrels of toxic waste off the Californian coast. Experts believe the barrels sitting deep in the ocean contain a harmful chemical called DDT, which is toxic for mice, rats and dogs.
It ends up being a pollutant – negatively impacting marine life. It’s linked to cancer in mammals and can also harm humans swimming in the water. The site is believed to be a massive underwater toxic waste site that dates back to World War 2.
