5 THINGS we’re talking ABOUT this WEEK!

- BY MAXINE PETERS

1 HELLO, ANGELS!

KIM KARDASHIAN’S new ad for the Fits Everyone range from her shapewear line, Skims, seems to be a dig at Victoria’s Secret.

In a “cheeky” move, Kim’s brand recruited the likes of TYRA BANKS, CANDICE SWANEPOEL, HEIDI KLUM and ALESSANDRA AMBROSIO, who were all Angels in the now-cancelled Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. The former lingerie giant struggled to stay relevant after several controversies, including sexual misconduct allegations against former chief marketing officer Ed Razek.

2 DON’T BE NOSY, DARLING

BONANG MATHEBA has responded to a local blogger’s claims that the former Top Billing presenter “purchased a new nose”.

“I’m all for entertainment journalism, just don’t ruin the fun for everyone. It’s weird,” tweeted Bonang. Tweeps also leapt to her defence, saying great makeup skills and the power of filters go a long way.

3 ‘I SEE THINGS AND HEAR THINGS’

Actress VANESSA HUDGENS recently revealed she has a sixth sense.

The star opened up about her abilities on The Kelly Clarkson Show recently, claiming she’s had “a lot” of experiences with ghosts and spirits.

“I kind of shut it down for a while because it’s scary,” she said. “The unknown is scary. But recently I was like, ‘No, this is a gift and something that I have the ability to do, so I’m going to lean into it’.”

4 TIGER’S BACK ON THE GREEN

After slumping to 973rd in the world rankings, TIGER WOODS made his comeback at the Augusta National this month after his life-threatening car crash 14 months ago.

“To say then that I was going to be here playing, and talking to you, it would’ve been very unlikely,” said Tiger, who still struggles with his mobility.

5 THE SHOW MUST GO ON

No Ye? No problem! Coachella wasted no time in securing THE WEEKND as a headline act at the upcoming festival after it was announced that Kanye West had bowed out just two weeks before showtime.

Page Six reports that the Blinding Lights singer threatened to pull out if he didn’t receive the same pay cheque as Kanye, who was set to rake in $8 million plus a $500 000 (R123,25m in total) production fee.

“The Weeknd came in at short notice to take Kanye’s top spot,” a source says. “But Phil Anschutz [owner of Coachella Festival through AEG Live] wanted to keep Kanye’s money and pay The Weeknd far less – just a few million. The festival would pocket the rest.”
