COACH BENNI

His first coaching gig was in 2015 as assistant coach to former Orlando Pirates coach Chris O’Loughlin at the Belgian side Sint Truidense.

In 2017 Benni returned to South Africa to coach Cape Town City and later AmaZulu FC in the 2020-2021 season.

He took AmaZulu to second place in the domestic league and won the coach of the season award last year. He received his UEFA coaching licence, the highest qualification in football coaching, in 2018.
