The number of rubber ducks that recently took part in the Chicago Ducky Derby in the US to raise money for charity. The “duck-letes” were sponsored by members of the public for a small fee and released into the river to race their way to the finish line. Over R5 million was raised with the race.

The number of artefacts that will soon be returned to Nigeria. The items, which have been on display in London’s Horniman Museum, were looted or stolen by British troops in the 19th century. It includes fans, baskets, and 12 brass plaques known as the Benin bronzes.
