REFLECTIONS ON WOMEN’S MONTH

-

Women’s month is over but what did it mean for us women?

Was it just part of another ritual that we tick off the calendar?

In modern life there’s no more time for raising children, that’s why there are daycare centers and play schools. Today’s women are only too aware of the challenges that our changing society and lifestyle bring and many mothers really make an effort to continue to ensure carefree and happy childhoods for their children.

In between all the changes, one thing stands out: no matter what the challenge, a woman makes a plan.

Among other things, a woman must unconditionally love, care for, comfort, assist, advise, guide, protect and make decisions.

What a privilege it is to be a woman. We have an enormous impact, not only on our families, but also on the world.

It remains a challenge to handle all the different roles of being a woman with grace. Your womanhood is precisely what makes you unique. Women are the core and pivot of the community – the glue that holds everything together.

Rest assured, you are making an impact and a difference. LYNETTE STRYDOM, GQEBERHA
