AMOR’S MONEY WOES

-

A “strong” woman like Amor Vittone is still whining about not having enough money (YOU, 11 August). We as South Africans don’t know what it feels like to walk in your shoes but if you are going to publicly cry about money, we will have something to say about it.

Believe me, if I could get twenty grand a month allowance, my gosh, I could stretch that money till next month probably. We on the Cape Flats have to deal with less than R200 at times and you can make sacrifices when needed, but you’re so used to a certain lifestyle that cutting down is not an option.

We have daily struggles with nappies, loadshedding, electricity units, taxi fare – I could go on – yet you worry about horse riding and soccer.

Guess I should shut up, and each to their own, but my gosh some people in this day and age still complain while others are struggling their a***s off. NO SYMPATHY, EMAIL Ag Amor, stop pleading poverty. Millions don’t get R500 a month, never mind R20 000. Sell your Gauteng mansion and move to a cheaper suburb. Trade in your expensive car for a smaller one. Buy cheaper clothes. You are living way beyond your means. ALICIA, SMS

Amor, you will not garner much sympathy from the millions of struggling woman with less then even R1 000 a month. Time for you to adjust your children’s lifestyle and cut back on the luxuries, my dear. JF, VREDEHOEK
