Klopp defends Man United coach

Liverpool manager JÜRGEN KLOPP has come out in support of Manchester United coach ERIK TEN HAG, whose dismal start at Manchester United has fans baying for his blood.

Ten Hag is under pressure to perform after the Red Devils lost their first two Premier League matches of the season, but Klopp says football fans are being too hard on the Dutchman. “It’s obvious what he wants to do; he wants to build out from the back,” Klopp says.

But the Liverpool boss has been called out for talking down to Man United. “How low does Man United have to go for a Liverpool manager to come out and protect them? It’s patronising. He was loving it,” says former England striker Carlton Cole.
