DROUGHT IN ENGLAND

Europe has been experiencing an exceptionally hot summer – now a drought warning has been issued across various parts of England after it recorded its driest summer in 50 years. The country has had five months of below-average rainfall and back-to-back heatwaves, putting pressure on water resources.

The government has introduced water restrictions to ease the situation. This includes a ban on hosepipes to water gardens and wash cars.
