PROS
■ Co-sleeping creates a sense of security for your child.
■ Parent and child tend to find forming a bond easy.
■ Some kids who co-sleep can grow up to be confident and independent as they have a strong sense of security.
CONS
■ Separation anxiety can be an issue in kids who co-sleep.
■ Children who co-sleep for a long time can battle to get used to the idea of sleeping on their own once their parents decide enough is enough.
■ Sleep issues can negatively affect parents’ emotions and moods, which isn’t good for anyone.
■ Intimacy between partners can suffer, which can affect the relationship in the long run.
