5 THINGS we’re talking ABOUT this WEEK!
RUSHDA’S BUNDLE OF JOY
Real Housewives of Cape Town star RUSHDA MOOSAJEE has welcomed her fourth child, Nuh Ebrahim, with her businessman husband, Ismael Ebrahim. The 36-year-old fitness guru took to Instagram to describe her newborn as a fighter.
“I’ve never met a featherweight fighter like you,” she wrote alongside a carousel of sweet family pics. “Thank you for making your way into our lives, showing us all a new meaning of love and for completing us. You are so, so loved by your brothers.”
SHIA COMES CLEAN
SHIA LABEOUF addressed the disturbing accusations of sexual battery and verbal abuse brought against him by FKA Twigs.
Shia (36) dated FKA Twigs (34) for about a year after they met on the set of his 2019 film Honey Boy. The Two Weeks singer has since accused the actor of violent attacks, strangulation and knowingly infecting her with a sexually transmitted disease.
“I hurt that woman,” Shia admitted while on fellow actor Jon Bernthal’s podcast Real Ones, though he didn’t call her by name.
“And in the process of doing that, I hurt many other people and many other people before that woman. I was a pleasureseeking, selfish, self-centred, dishonest, inconsiderate, fearful human being.”
BABY MAKES 10
Surprise! Well, not really. NICK CANNON is having yet another baby.
The Masked Singer host (41) is expecting a son with model Brittany Bell (34), who’s also the mother of two of his other children, son Golden (5) and daughter Powerful Queen Cannon (1).
The news comes less than a month after Nick welcomed a son with model Bre Tiesi (31) and amid rumours that he’s also expecting another child with Abby De La Rosa, the mother of his twins Zion and Zillion (1), this October. Nick also has twins Moroccan and Monroe (11) with music legend Mariah Carey.
In December he lost five-month-old son Zen, whose mom is model Alyssa Scott (28), to a rare brain cancer.
JUSTICE FOR KOBE AND GIA
VANESSA BRYANT, Kobe Bryant’s widow, was recently awarded $16 million (about R272m) as part of a $31m (R527m) jury verdict against Los Angeles County after deputies and firefighters shared grisly photos of the late NBA star, his 13-year-old daughter and other victims killed in a 2020 helicopter crash.
The nine jurors who returned the unanimous verdict agreed with Vanessa (40) and her lawyers that Los Angeles deputies and firefighters taking and sharing pics of the crash victims invaded her privacy and brought her emotional distress, despite the pics not going public.
ZAKES’ LAST ALBUM
Award-winning DJ, musician, music producer and businessman ZAKHELE MADIDA, better known as Zakes Bantwini, is hanging up the mic after his next album. “I don’t want to call it retirement,” he said in a recent interview. “I don’t think that I’ll ever stop making music for other people. “This is the last album, so I’m just going to do everything that I’ve wanted to do and I want to do it big. I want to work with everybody that I’ve wanted to work with and I want to do every venue I wanted to do,” Zakes (42) said.
