LISTEN TO ME
By TESS GERRITSEN
Bantam When young student Amy Antrim skids on an icy street and falls in front of a vehicle, it sets in motion a sequence of events that leads to the unravelling of the dark secret in her life.
Then Sofia Suarez, one of the nurses who cares for Amy while she’s in the intensive care unit, is brutally murdered – her head smashed to a pulp with a hammer. Why would anyone kill such a respected nurse?
When Boston homicide detective Jane Rizzoli and her colleague, Barry Frost, start investigating, they soon find out that Sofia had plenty of secrets of her own.
Meanwhile, Jane’s mother, Angela Rizzoli, is convinced that there’s something fishy about the strange neighbours who’ve moved in across the road.
Jane thinks Angela has an overactive imagination but will eventually realise that you should always listen to your mom.
This, the 13th in the Rizzoli & Isles series, is definitely one of the best so far.
It has a good, imaginative and very solid storyline which builds up to a nerve-tingling conclusion.
