SCIENTISTS FIND SOLUTION TO HARMFUL CHEMICALS POLLUTING THE EARTH

Plastic is, unfortunately, all around us – and it eventually breaks down and releases hazardous chemicals, known as PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) into the atmosphere.

Now scientists in the US believe they’ve found a solution to destroying these chemicals without harming the planet. PFAS build up in air, water and soil as the molecules don’t burn easily and neither do they dissolve in water.

Scientists say a new method, which involves boiling the molecules, will reduce the amount.
