SINGLE MOMS ARE SUPERSTARS
After reading the interview with Amor Vittone (YOU, 11 August), I’d like to tell you about my experience of being a single-income household.
Since my husband died in 2020, his family hasn’t given me one cent towards raising our two minor children, despite his family being millionaires. My youngest child also has a chronic medical condition as well as a severe learning disability.
But it’s fine. I’m showing my children that single parents are superheroes. I’m teaching them the value of integrity and
dignity. We’ll manage on our own. SHANNON NELMES, EMAIL
