Asian BRAAI toasties

SERVES 4 / PREPARATIO­N: 20 MIN / COOKING: 30 MIN

BRAAI TOASTIES butter, for spreading 8 slices white bread 60ml (¼c) kimchi or achar 2 chillies, chopped a handful fresh coriander, chopped 100g mozzarella, sliced PORK NECK STEAKS 5cm fresh ginger, grated 2 garlic cloves, chopped 30ml (2T) each soy sauce and honey 4 pork neck steaks TO FINISH

lime wedges Prepare a braai fire with enough coals for braaiing. Keep a stand and foldover braai grid handy. 1 Braai toasties Spread the butter on the bread slices. Then spread kimchi or achar on half the slices. Sprinkle some of the chilli and coriander over and add a few slices of mozzarella. Add the other bread slices to make sandwiches. 2 Pork neck steaks Mix the ginger, garlic, soy sauce and honey well. Brush over both sides of the steaks. Put the steaks on the grid and braai for 5 minutes a side or until cooked to your liking. 3 Put the sandwiches in the grid and close it. Braai until golden brown on both sides and the cheese has melted. 4 To finish Serve the braai toasties with the steaks and lime wedges.
