Novelist Michael Peterson’s life goes under a microscope after he’s accused of murdering his wife, Kathleen, who was found dead at the bottom of the staircase in their home in 2001.
He insisted it was an accident, but he was convicted of killing Kathleen only to be released from prison after a retrial.
This Staircase is based on an acclaimed documentary series about the case – also titled The Staircase, which is available on Netflix.
