BRAID(Y) BUNCH

-

Braids cropped up in creative and fun ways this season. They’re super easy to create, low maintenance, and ideal for humid weather, making them the perfect style to sport this summer – and there are so many ways to wear them. While baby braids, which are typically crafted as a set of smaller, face-framing braids, take the spotlight, there are plenty more inspiring ways to wear them. For a Y2K take on the style, opt for the Hailey Bieberinspired front-piece braids or, for a more polished finish, look to Gigi Hadid, Tracee Ellis Ross, Jennifer Lopez and Nidhi Sunil, whose go-to braided buns and plaited ponies give an elevated accent to their red carpet looks.

GET THE LOOK

Start off by parting your hair down the middle.

Next, section off two small pieces of hair from the front and braid. Depending on the look you’re going for, your braids can be either loose and fluffed out or tight and tiny.

Secure with elastics and hairspray to prevent the braids from unravelling.
