WHERE TO COMPLAIN

If you bought a life right or own a sectional title unit in a retirement village, the village falls under the auspices of the Community Schemes Ombud Service. Any disputes you have that can’t be settled by the property developer of the life-right scheme or the body corporate can be referred to this ombud. Owners pay a levy (dependent on their monthly levy but capped at R40 a month) to the ombud service. Call them on 0800-000-653.
