FAMILY MAN

Federer’s family – Swiss-German father ROBERT, South-African born mom LYNETTE and older sister Diana – are his biggest supporters, along with his wife, MIRKA (44).

Roger and fellow Swiss tennis player Mirka Vavrinec met at the 2000 Sydney Olympics and have been married for 13 years. They have two sets of twins, girls Myla Rose and Charlene (13) and boys Lennart and Leo (8).

In his farewell statement Federer thanked his family for their support. “I’d like to especially thank my amazing wife, Mirka, who’s lived through every minute with me. She’s warmed me up before finals, watched countless matches even while over eight months pregnant and has endured my goofy side on the road with my team for more than 20 years.”
