A DEAR DRUNK

A completely inebriated man stumbles down the street with one foot on the kerb and one foot in the gutter.

A cop pulls up next to him and says, “I’ve got to take you in, pal. You’re obviously drunk.”

The drunk man asks, “Officer, are ya absolutely sure I’m drunk?”

“Yeah buddy, I’m sure,” says the cop. “Let’s go.”

Breathing a sigh of relief, the man says, “Thank goodness! I thought I broke my leg.”
